Read-Aloud Program

Encourage a Lifelong Love of Reading
Read-Aloud Scholastic and the National Center for Family Literacy have partnered to bring you a Read-Aloud program to enrich the reading experience of children. We have developed resources to help you conduct a Family Event centered around family literacy. Follow these steps to share the joy of reading!

Invite Parents
Send parents a Family Event Invitation (PDF Form 54KB). Parents won’t want to miss this special story time where they will learn tips and strategies to encourage reading at home. Distribute bookmarks (PDF 157KB) with Read-Aloud tips to parents at your Family Event. You can also download the Family Guide to the Book Fair and give it to guests. The guide is filled with reading strategies, tips, and information about how young children learn.
