2010 Breaking Barriers Contest
The Breaking Barriers: In Sports, In Life educational program brings students the significance of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in baseball in 1947. Breaking Barriers teaches students the characteristics and values that Jackie Robinson exhibited in his life, and instructs students on how to use these values to face and overcome the barriers in their own lives.

At the heart of the program is the Breaking Barriers Essay Contest in which students have an opportunity to share stories about their barriers.
