Meet Emily Fletcher
Emily has a natural affinity for animals — she’s grown up around them all her life. Her mom is the neighborhood’s newest veterinarian, moving from Colorado to buy the animal hospital. Emily loves to help her mom at the hospital and even set up the Pet Palace, an animal hotel out back. She was one of the first to discover the injured animals at Ravenswood Preserve. She is fairly self-sufficient and totally dedicated to helping the animals and preserving their land.

Emily is going to learn “to believe” that if you have faith, you can make magic. Poetry and creative expression will help Emily explain the wondrous magic that has entered her life.

Her affinity for animals will also manifest itself in a special way: in addition to the ability to communicate with magical animals, the magic will enhance Emily’s ability to sense the feelings and intentions of nonmagical animals, and to communicate with them nonverbally.

Her empathy with and knowledge of animals makes Emily a natural choice for a “Healer.”
