Back to the Divide
by Elizabeth Kay
After his adventures in The Divide, Felix lives quietly at home with his parents. But Snakeweed, the arch villain, is still at large. Having failed to sell bad magic to the real world, he wants to go back home. All he needs to get there is the spell hidden in Felix's notebook. So Snakeweed pays a visit to Felix — and freezes his parents with a horrible curse that begins to spread like a magical disease. Soon the curse is effecting everything — and the Earth itself may be in danger. Felix must return to The Divide to find the counter-charm that can cure his parents...and save the world!

Excerpt:
Betony and Felix thanked the nomad, who directed them to an inn and said good-bye. The inn was called the Offal House. It was one of the circular buildings, rather larger than the others. The rooms would have made a pattern like the segments of a bisected orange but with the middle missing, for in the center was a garden. Low tables and cushions were placed in between little palm trees and flowering plants, and people were sitting on the cushions eating and drinking.

This was an action packed book. I think it was the best of the series.
Emma M., Age 12

When I read The Divide, I thought it was the best book I had ever read.
There were many actions scenes, which I enjoyed, and I love the part where Stonetalon kills Vomidor. Then I bought Back To The Divide, which I found even more exciting then the last. I like the part where there is a giant battle and Harshak dies. I couldn't put these books down. And now, I am reading the third book, Jinx On The Divide.
