The 3rd Annual Children’s & Family Emmy® Awards were held on Saturday, March 15 at Television City in Los Angeles, and 9 Story, Brown Bag Films, and Scholastic Entertainment were represented with not only 16 Emmy® nominations for multiple projects across a variety of categories but an exciting win for their children’s content. Blue’s Clues & You!, produced by 9 Story and Brown Bag Films, took home the award for “Best Preschool Series.”
Blue’s Clues & You! series creators and executive producers Angela Santomero and Traci Paige Johnson, along with executive producer Wendy Harris, series director Vadim Kapridov, and former series host Donovan Patton were in attendance and accepted the Children’s & Family Emmy® Award for the show’s win. Available on Nickelodeon, Blue’s Clues & You! follows a puppy named Blue and her friend Josh as they lead viewers on a clue-led adventure each episode to solve various puzzles, encouraging teamwork and problem-solving.
In addition to Blue’s Clues & You!, Disney+’s Goosebumps, produced by Scholastic Entertainment, received a whopping nine nominations, Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum racked up three, and series Rosie’s Rules, A Kind of Spark, and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood each scooped up one.
Presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Children’s & Family Emmy® Awards spotlight the pinnacle of creativity and innovation in children’s entertainment. 9 Story, Brown Bag Films, and Scholastic Entertainment were all honored to be there and we also want to thank the hosts for welcoming our Scholastic Kid Reporter on the red carpet to cover this special event!
