Earlier this month, the 2025 New York City Regional Scholastic Awards Ceremony took place at the Scholastic Headquarters in SoHo, celebrating the exceptional achievements in art and writing of talented teens in grades 7–12 from across the City's five boroughs. Spanning the weekend, several ceremonies honored hundreds of regional winners who received Silver and Gold Keys in this year’s Awards, with over 1,000 total attendees present.

Publishers Weekly featured the March 7th kickoff event in their 'In Brief' weekly news roundup, as well as their Children's Bookshelf newsletter.

During the ceremonies, NYC Regional Awards recipients and their families gathered in the iconic Big Red Auditorium to hear inspiring remarks from renowned literary and arts professionals, representatives from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, as well as some of the talented teen artists and writers that received recognition. Additionally, each recipient had the opportunity to step onstage and receive their well-deserved Silver and/or Gold Key.
