Are you a Grade K–8 teacher who loves to collaborate with colleagues and share great teaching ideas? We invite you to apply for Scholastic’s Teacher Fellows program.
Eligibility
Current classroom teachers serving in grades K–8 public, charter, or private schools in the United States. Instructional coaches who work closely with teachers and students in K–8 classrooms are also eligible.
Goal
The Scholastic publishing teams are seeking a group of 12 diverse, talented K–8 educators from across the U.S. to collaborate and innovate with them, helping improve the design and effectiveness of learning materials designed for teachers, students, and families.
Benefits and Stipend
Teacher Fellows will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from different states and with different perspectives, share their expertise broadly by co-developing products that have a wide reach, and expand their professional learning circles. The fellowship includes a stipend of $2,000 and at least $500 of Scholastic products.
Expectations
Teacher Fellows will actively collaborate with one or more Scholastic publishing team leaders and their colleagues over the nine month fellowship, working intensively on one or two projects. To complete this work, Teacher Fellows will need to allot 4–6 hours per month. This includes:
• 1-2 video calls with team members and Scholastic staff per month
• 2-4 hours of project-based work per month
Additionally, Teacher Fellows will give a final presentation of their project work and celebrate with colleagues and Scholastic staff at a 2-day in-person meeting at Scholastic headquarters in New York City, July 2025. (Trip expenses will be covered by Scholastic.)
