Hayes Family Camping Advice

1. Make sure your parents have made reservations (I can't believe my dad forgot! — We almost had to sleep in the van! )!!
2. Check out the campsite facilities before you use them. (You don't want to miss your shower because you didn't bring any quarters with you! This almost happened to Hannah!)
3. Be CAREFUL on a hiking adventure. Be sure to go with an adult and don't wander off the trail. Make sure you have water, food, and comfortable shoes. Let someone know where you're going and when you'll be back.
4. Don't eat too many berries! (The Hayes family knows what I'm talking about!) But we did have a great berry party.
5. Relax and have fun with your family. I was worried how the Hayes family would act around Hannah - especially since she was a new friend. But it all worked out.
6. Don't forget to pack essentials - journal (of course), compass, flashlight with extra batteries, bug spray, swim suit, and hiking shoes.
