Donation Ideas
1) You can raise money and donate it to a deserving charity. Discuss the following options with your class:

- Bake Sales
- Car Wash
- Raffles
- Yard Sales
- Concession Stands at School Sporting Events

2) You can bring in small gifts (remember, "Good Things Come In Small Packages") to donate just like we did. Children who might not otherwise receive holiday presents will be so happy. These gifts can be from your class only or the entire school.

3) Some families don't have enough money to buy food. Bringing in canned goods and donating them to local shelters or soup kitchens can help feed the hungry.

Advertising Ideas
Advertising is a great way to bring in donations. My announcements over the school p.a. system brought us so many gifts that we had to make more gift boxes. Ask your teacher or principal if you can announce your drive to the entire school, too. You can also make flyers and put them up in your school and town; send in a notice to your local newspaper and radio stations; and talk up your drive to friends, neighbors and family.
