Here's what your colleagues are saying about the TRAITS OF WRITING workshop:

“I saw the involvement of my former staff, and even more reassuring, the excitement in my future staff members at your workshop. With a few dedicated converts, we used the preschool staff development opportunities to infuse the traits into the curriculum … We wrote an application for a writing project, using the traits as the structure for assessment. We used the assessment to drive the instruction, and we did what some thought impossible … we earned an award for a school that didn’t win awards.”
—Jim Stephens, Elementary School Principal, Columbia, South Carolina

" As a former teacher herself, Ruth Culham lives in our world and describes the traits clearly, expertly, and with a genuine passion for the teaching of writing. Her keen insights into … what good instruction looks like convinced me that I was learning from a master."
Roberta Young,
Staff Developer, Harris County Department of Education, Houston, Texas

“This has been the most informative workshop that I have attended. I have learned so much about my students and how to teach writing. As a 13-year veteran, I also learned how to stop overloading myself with a lot of grading. I appreciate the fact that Ruth was so flexible to accommodate topics others wanted to discuss—I could tell she had so much more ready.”
—Karen Wilkenson, Project Director, Indianapolis, Indiana
