I teach preschool, and in my class books are much more interesting if I can connect what we are reading to something my toddler students can actually touch. Fall is a wonderful time to bring ideas from books into your home such as leaves or harvest vegetables. But no matter where you live, nothing is as easy to find as apples. Grab an apple at the grocery store and turn regular reading time into inquiry time!
Here are some great books to match:
Apples by Jacqueline Farmer
Pat the Bunny: At the Apple Orchard by Golden Books
Autumn Is for Apples by Michelle Knudsen
Apples and Pumpkins by Anne Rockwell
Apples, Apples, Apples by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace
Apple Farmer Annie by Monica Wellington
Apples! Apples! by Salina Yoon
5 Little Apples by Yusuke Yonezu
