The history of Thanksgiving is fraught with different perspectives, revisionist history, and cultural myths. I urge all parents to teach their children the real history of this holiday and the right and wrong steps that were taken.
I also urge parents to find fun ways to celebrate the messages that should be celebrated: working together and overcoming obstacles.
Thanksgiving should be fun and these six titles deliver so much fun!
10 Fat Turkeys by Tony Johnson
Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano
The Ugly Pumpkin by Dave Horowitz
I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie by Alison Jackson
'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey
A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman
