house. While she looks younger than Arthur, she, like many
others in the house, have been there for thousands of years.
A mere Ink-Filler Sixth Class, she has limited access to
the vast realms within the house, yet her courage and knowledge
prove vital to Arthur's cause. |

is the keeper of the first Key and controls the Lower House.
Monday's Key takes the form of a minute and an hour hand from
a clock that when put together form a sword. He does nothing,
Monday is lazy. Because of his laziness, the Lower House is
in complete disarray. His Dawn and Noon are both still loyal
to him, however, Dusk is ready for a change. |

is the force that governs the house. Unfortunately, nefarious
powers have ripped it up and scattered it about. Now it needs
help — Arthur's help — to collect itself,
and undo all the wrongdoings that have prevailed in its absence. |

is banished to the basement of the house. No one knows why
or how but he is trapped in a painful and depressing existence.
At first Arthur fears him, but later learns to trust him.
The OLD ONE is knowledgeable about many things in the house
and offers guidance to Arthur — and saving his life. |

is the keeper of the second Key and controls the Far Reaches.
Tuesday's Key takes the form of flexible silver metal gloves,
bound with golden bands. He collects debts from all of the
other Houses in order to feed his greed. Tuesday can only
make copies of things, he cannot create anything new. Transformed
from his Dawn, Noon and Dusk, his seven Grotesques do his
bidding. |

is the keeper of the third Key to the Kingdom. Although
she used to be beautiful, she now exists in the form
of a vast beast that wanders the Border Sea and eats
everything it encounters. When she sends a ship to retrieve
Arthur from the hospital, he isn't sure if she is a
friend or foe. |
